Under a bright sun, the first edition of the 24H SPA EWC Motos got off to a smooth start at 13:00, with the N°1 World Champion Suzuki of the Yoshimura SERT Motul getting off to a flying start, and making the inside of the N°11 Kawasaki to take the lead of the event.
The N°7 Yart Yamaha, which started from pole position, fell to fourth place at the end of the first lap, ahead of the N°5 F.C.C TSR Honda France. The N°37 BMW was fifth.
In Superstock, it was the N°24 Kawasaki of BMRT 3D Maxxess Nevers that took the lead ahead of the N°55 National Motos Honda (3rd in the championship) and the N°36 Yamaha.
The 38 machines at the start set off for around 400 laps of the demanding 6.985 kilometre Spa-Francorchamps track in a race, which promises to be thrilling and uncertain. What’s at stake is a maximum of the 60 points with five points having already been distributed after the qualifying rounds.
