FIM Sidecar World Championship

New pages on the history of the sidecar will be written at the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. The FIM Sidecar World Championship was launched in 1949. It has experienced a real renaissance over the past few years thanks to its new management. It can now take pride in presenting top-quality starting grids, that come from all the main European countries involved in sidecar racing.

Sidecar is a motorsport where male or female passengers compete on an equal footing but it's also a true team sport where the role of the "passenger" is almost as important as that of the driver or "pilot".

Its strict rules ensure there is true equality between the 600cc machines, juiced up by the power of engines built by famous motorcycle constructors (Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki/Suzuki), thereby promising competitive and breathtaking races.

4 Hours Spa Classic

It’s a return to the past for the series of the 4 Hours of Spa Classic
In fact this will reunite motorbikes that competed from 1987 to 2001 during the 24Hrs of Liège, the forerunner of the 24Hrs SPA EWC Motos.

Nostalgic people can rediscover numerous emblematic models and new generations of motorcycle fans can discover bikes such as: the Suzuki GSXR750, Yamaha YZF750R, Yamaha FZR750R, Honda CBR900RR, Honda VTR1000, and ZX9-R.

A lovely homage to the 24 Hours of Liège which was part of motorcycling’s golden days on the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.

International Bridgestone Handy Race

The International Bridgestone Handy Race was established in 2017 at the initiative of Stéphane Paulus (Handi Free Riders), Emiliano Malagoli (Di. Di. Diversamente Disabili) under the aegis of the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and the French Motorcycle Federation (FFM).

This race allows riders who are in a disabled situation to surpass their physical and sporting goals on machines that have been adapted in relation to the disablement.

Experienced riders of various nationalities face each other on the “toboggan of the Ardennes” in the 600 and 1000 cm3 categories.

A real challenge for these disabled riders and some lovely battles on the track to discover in this first race for the disabled that will take place on the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.
